Aims
Trainees will participate in a 13 week programme, which is a mix of interactive learning and work placements. The first two weeks of the programme will be based on the qualifications required for working in tourism and hospitality businesses such as REHIS Food Hygiene, First Aid and Health & Safety. Additionally, trainees will visit local tourism businesses such as the Titan Crane in Clydebank to help understand what it is like working there. During the third week, trainees will be working directly with staff from Careers Scotland where they will develop their CVs and Interview skills as well as understanding their unique selling points. For the remaining 10 weeks of the programme, trainees will participate in a work placement where their learning can be put into practice. These placements will be organised and managed in conjunction with staff from West Dunbartonshire Council.
