Aims
The programme is delivered by Clydebank College which has produced excellent results over a number of years in terms of achievement of qualifications and numbers securing employment.
The course comprises of a number of Scottish Qualifications Authority Modules covering Information Technology for Administrators, Presenting and Communicating Information, Medical Reception and Records, Medical Terminology, Medical Word Processing and Audio Typing which have been developed in consultation with employers in the various hospitals and health centres who have participated in the programme.
Trainees attend the college for a total of twelve weeks followed by a two week period of work experience to allow them to put into practice the new skills which they have developed during the college based element of the programme.
