ARTC

Advice & Guidance

Adult Recruitment and Training Credit (ARTC) is a customised recruitment and training programme for employers. It includes both on-the-job training and formal training provided through the option of pursuing vocational or industry standard qualifications.

ARTC is a substantial financial contribution towards the cost of recruiting/training unemployed people and assistance in the development of formal training plans for new employees. The project is currently delivered across Dunbartonshire, North Ayrshire and parts of Argyll and Bute.

ARTC is quick and simple to access. In order to qualify new recruits must have been previously registered unemployed and meet one of the following criteria:
• Residents in an area of multiple deprivation
• Unemployed for more that 6 months
• People with disabilities
• Lone parent
• Aged 50+
• Part of a large scale redundancy

If you’re new recruits fulfil the eligibility criteria and the new employee works more than 15 hours per week your organisation will be eligible for assistance. Scottish Enterprise will fund 50% of the employees’ gross wage for the first eight weeks up to a maximum contribution of £800. Further training and financial assistance for up to six months is available for new recruits seeking to achieve a vocational or industry recognised qualification.
